To provide opportunities for amputees in Thailand to use prosthetics developed with modern technology and to lead more convenient daily lives, the Field Robotics Institute (FIBO), in collaboration with external organizations including the National Electronics and Computer Technology Center (NECTEC)<\/strong>, the Sirindhorn National Medical Rehabilitation Centre<\/strong>, and the Prostheses Foundation of H.R.H. the Princess Mother<\/strong>, are working together on a royal initiative project. This aims to advance research, development, and prosthetic services in Thailand.
FIBO’s role is to research, design, construct, and test above-knee prosthetic legs. The project’s targeted final outcomes are:
1. A prototype prosthetic leg with manually adjustable damping<\/strong>.
2. A prototype prosthetic leg with wireless adjustable damping<\/strong>.
